Can I sue this online business for fraud?

I was contacted by a rep of web design company Higher Impact, asking me if I was interested in an online home business opportunity. He had a voice recording explain everything to me and I thought it couldn't hurt to try.

The basics behind the idea are that I buy a website from the company for a one-time, fixed fee of $110. The website would feature products from the company's sponsors offering health care, mortgages, and something else. For every product sold through my site, I would get a commission.

My only job then, would be to drive traffic to my website.

For that, the rep explained to me that the company will provide me with "marketing coaches" that will "coach" me on how to drive traffic to my website.

I bought the idea, gave the my CC info and paid $110 for the website. The rep told me that I will get a call from a "coach" in 2-3 days.

I wait 14 days, and after submitting a complaint to their site, I get a call the next day from the "coach". He sweets talks (i.e. bullshits) me about how good this business opportunity is, and tells me that he will have another "coach" contact me in several minutes.

The "coach" finally calls me, and after 10 minutes of trying to bullshit her way to getting me "excited" about this business opportunity, she tells me that there are three packages available - on for $5K for 10K traffic to my site, one for $10K, and another for $20K.

At this point, you probably know why I consider this to be fraud. I was never told that their "coaching" would consist of them peddling me their "traffic packages" for tens of Gs.

I could easily just get my $110 back and finish this, but this is straight up, no-bones-about-it FRAUD, and I don't want them to get away with it!!!

Is there anything that can be done about this in courts? Could I sue them, and if yes, then for which possible amount? Up to 10K, 100K, mil K??? Obviously money wouldn't be the only issue here, as their business practices are fraudulent and need to be rectified.

Thanks in advance!

I would do like you said and get my money back. Call the credit card and let them know it was a fraudulent charge. Then i would contact the Better Business Bureau. As far court, maybe a class action suit. I don't know who would take it up and lawyers usually jump on anything. Good Luck.

Agreed call your credit care company and report they will give you money back all your money if you don't wait too long.

To sue them not likely the amount isn't enough ($110.00) if they have taken the thousands its a possibility. You would basically be doing the same thing they are, you can stop people like this. File a report is your best best, but I wish there was more that can be done to companies like this many try to make their money today scamming its disgusting that nothing has been done.

I think there is one department in every country to banned those fraudulent sites. I hate it SO MUCH! It cause me a lot of trouble..>_<

But, when I think of it, it may be the lesson for all of us to never accept dumbly what we see or what we hear..

And I have the right think to do now to get quite a traffic hits that i don't have to pay to any fraud site..

I have quite a nice blog here, I made 200-500/day and it is legally and I do it myself(I'm so proud of myself)..Yeah I know..maybe I have little traffic hits than the pro that made 2000/day..

If you want to know about having a traffic to your site WITHOUT PAYING! here is the good info you should know
