What are the main tourist sites in cairo and Luxor?

Oh my goodness, no one's given you a list of all the wonderful sights.

I lived in Luxor for 2 years & no trip would be complete without visiting =

In Cairo =

The Cairo museum

The Pyramids & Sphinx

In Luxor =

The Valley of the Kings

Valley of the Queens

Hatchepsuts Temple

Luxor Temples

Karnak Temples

& of course the lovely Luxor museum.

If you can try to do them in the order i've given, as it all follows on & connects the history together (at least, that's what my family found).

&&& i'm sorry, anyone who says they got bored with 'a pile of stones' for me has no soul. In the time i lived there, i never once was bored with the wonder of it all, & then there's the wonderful Egyptian people to meet as well.

Go & be hooked, you will be if you have soul.

I visited Luxor last summer , the most beautiful things I liked were the 2 museums there . All other places are just stones and temples which I didn't like much . You can take a taxi so the driver will take you to all the tourist places . it can take only one day or 2 , must be in the morning because they close at 5 pm .

For Cairo : The museum in Tahrir square is very nice , the pyramids you can have a ride on horses there , the Nile ( you can take a boat ) ,. Cairo is not very much a tourist place actually ( in my opinion ), the places to go there are malls , cinemas , restaurants and the parks which are is not something very unique , you'll find that anywhere .
