Meeting people through the internet can be a risky thing, so you need to be careful. If you want to meet him, i would suggest meeting during the day for lunch or something, tell friends where you are going, and meet somewhere open and busy. I would also suggest meeting up with him, rather than him picking you up. Good luck!

I think you should definetely meet now while you guys are talking a lot. You'll probably find you really enjoy eachothers company. And it's much more satisfying to be with someone in person rather than online.

But of course make sure to make the basic precautions first though, like meeting in an open place just in case he's a bad guy, even though he probably isn't if you talk so much.

I met my partner on the net, we were kind of in the same situation as you at the moment. The first time we met up we arranged to take our kids to a theme park. It was a nice relaxed day out with more focus on the kids than anything else. Real easy ice breaker.
