What is the policy/law regarding funeral processions?
During a funeral procession for my Aunt, one of the family members, who was towards the middle of the line, was pulled over by a police officer. The police officer said he ran a red light. He proceeded to tell the police officer that he was in a funeral procession and on the way to the cemetary. The police officer said so what? That doesn't mean you can run a red light and then after going back to his car he said "You better thank me, I cut you a break this time. You're lucky." Is this true? Are you really not supposed to follow the rest of the funeral procession and drive like you normally would? (this is in NJ, if that matters) Thank you!

In florida it states very clearly that all traffic is to stop for the entire procession if they have let out or the first car has pulled into an intersection............ in the last funeral I attended there must have been upwards of 60 cars in the procession and apart from one STUPID bleep bleep that cut in front of me and the car in front, after all getting into wendy;s was SO important [car full of old dears as well by the way].........we have to also have our lights on, but the norm here in this town is for everyone to drive at normal speed with their four way flashers one............I for one will happily stop and let every last one go through.

Cop was wrong, which is why he covered his tracks by saying "I cut you a break"....as long as the driver is alert to what may be coming through an intersection, it's legal for a car to follow a funeral procession.

Haha! Wow. i replaced into eating water while i replaced into examining this and that i swear water quite much got here out my nostril! That replaced into freaking hilariously wicked! Phew! i think of i'm gonna be effective. xD carry on, i ought to wipe some water off the video show. hello, a minimum of i did not pee myself. :P
