What is a good book about the history of Paris?

I'm taking a trip there for the first time in the spring and am interested in some enjoyable reading material to give me some context.

    I highly recommend "Paris - The Biography of a City" by Colin Jones.

    I studied up on Paris previously I went there. i got here upon that "tough classes to Paris" had a lot of cultural assistance that gave me an outstanding history of city's background. It had a tale of ways Napoleon became the guy who numbered properties on one ingredient with even numbers and the different ingredient with atypical numbers.
