Changing email accounts-do I have to change Answers accts?

I'm about to switch service providers, and my current email address has the sbcglobal.net domain. Will I have to give up my Yahoo!Answers account and start from scratch with my new email account?

If you cancel your sbc account yes you will have to start over. Your questions/answers that are in voting and that have been resolved will always be on here from this Y!A account. Hope this helps!!!

Do you have a Yahoo ID that is independent of sbcglobal (like name@yahoo.com)? If so then you are clear because it can be accessed from anywhere by going to www.yahoo.com.

If not I suggest that before you dump sbc go to www.yahoo.com click on Sign UP and set up a new account. When you do that you need to show an alternate email. Use your sbcglobal email address for that and go through the verify process. Then you will have everything active that you had with sbc.

Now, once you dump sbc you need to go in and set another verified alternate address so if you forget your password they have a way to contact you.
