Have you got your trophey buck yet?

I have been hunting for seven years, i have killed my share of does to manage our herd in the club i am in. In the past six years two nice 8 pt bucks have been taken by fellow club members. I feel due to logging for 5 years and a drought last year it has hurt our herd. Hunting is not my hobby anymore its my passion, i love the weekends where i can spend them outdoors. But after all these years of doing things right including awesome equipment from clothes to weapons, and keeping the land in tip top shape with beautiful green fields, and countless hours of preparing stands and finding good locations. I know the deer are there i just feel im really unlucky and that's fine. I know the wait will be worth it. Has anyone else experienced any ting like this?

    Stick with it and it will happen. I hunted the same 300 acres hard for 15 years before I took a trophy 130 class buck. The next year another 130 class and then the next year a 150 class. It takes a while for you to know your area and what the deer are doing, so don't give up.

    Don't sleep while you're in your stand. Don't read a magazine. Stay out there all day and continually scan for that buck. I know hunters who think the deer are only out in the morning, then again late in the day but deer move at all hours. Keep your eyes open and you'll get that buck.

    yes i have shot my share of bucks with bow and rifle i have been hunting since i was 16 and only shot one deer that i got a head mout of others wee smaller 8's and 9's orsmaller and countless does. same as where i hunt there are nice bucks but i seem to be the same as you just un lucky as far as dhooting a reas trophy

    I have got mine, me and my best friend did a saskatchewan whitetail hunt 4 years ago and i got 140 class and he got a 160 class. Beautiful whitetails.

    I usually hunt moose though and i got my trophy this year. 54 inch bull. Amazing.

    then i did a caribou hunt 2 years ago and i got my 48 inch and 46 inch bulls. so im doing good.

    other then that i haven't got many bucks, i have never got a big bear,

    here in ohio, i think the weather has put a big toll on them. i haven't seen any big bucks this year, not even a medium size buck. its gun week here and ive only seen does. usually bucks are running like crazy
