Is there anyway to block numbers? Please help. ?
These two nasty girls from school call me just about every weekend at 1 or 2 am trying to harrass me.[ Just like they did in school by constantly calling me names.] They have their number restricted but I'm 99.9% sure it's them. I've answered a few times and it sounded just like them. So is there anyway I can find out what number exactly and if there is anyway to block it? It's getting annoying when I'm tired after work and I'm getting prank calls at 2am. My friend is also getting several of them after I do but they'll sometimes leave nasty voicemails on his cell.
Please help! I really need it...
I have Verizon. I believe when you dial *69 on restricted numbers it will not tell you. But I'll try again just to be sure.

Call the police and report them for telephone harassment. It's a crime, ya know.

you should be able to go under your settings,to security, type your password, go to restrict calls, and restrict incoming calls... this feature only allows people in your phone book to call. I had the same problem, I had to use this feature because they started calling me from payphones. I believe they can still leave voice mails, but it won't interrupt your sleep and eventually they will quit calling. you might want to change your voice mail, so that their unsure it's you. I believe there is a way to use *57 on landlines (not sure about cellphones) to trace repeated harassment calls if your phone doesn't have that feature. Ask the operator, or if need be call the police. If I were you I might file a police report just to keep record in case you may need both to sue them. I believe there is a monthly fee for the *57 and the calls must be very consecutive and not just one a month. Let me know if this was helpful. Jimmy_gustavo@yahoo.com

Right after you get the call again, dial *69 on your phone. It'll tell you the number of the last incomming call. Once you get the number, call your service provider and get it blocked! Or just get your number changed.

I hope you have a sony-ericsson otherwise don't bother reading the rest of the answer (i don't know for the other phones).
go to
MENU > SETTINGS > CALLS > MANAGE CALLS > ACCEPT CALLS
then select "FROM LIST"
what it will do is just reject calls automaticly from anyone who is not on your list. The problem is, you have to add your contacts to the list otherwise they will be blocked too.
