As I'm starting to get more creative I would like to start doing some smoke shots with my Nikon D40 (with an 18-55mm lens). I want to get an interesting photo of people doing the shotgun trick (blowing smoke out of one mouth into someone else's) Any tips I should know that will help me?

I'm gonna start off with a little background information. I've been into photography for a few years now. I use a Nikon D40, with the 18-55mm lens and a 70-300mm lens. I'm mostly into landscapes/wildlife/nature photography, but I have done a few portraits of people/kids.

I've had several people ask about me doing some portraits ( some of children, another would be a couple's portrait) I am a photography major, so it would be some great experience for me(plus help kick off my career) and the extra money would be awesome. BUT I am completely new at this sort of photography so...

How should I charge per session? Since I'm a new photographer I don't want to put an outrageous price on sessions.

Also, should I charge per picture? And is it best if I print my own pictures, or have them printed at a store?

I don't have a lot of equipment, aside from the camera and lenses I have a remote, a polarized filter and two other filters.

I am on a tight budget, so going out and buying a studio and a bunch of extra equipment is totally out of the question as of right now.

Any tips and/or links to helpful advice will be greatly appreciated!!

My friend and I were driving down the road while a pa state trooper was in the oncoming lane. I checked how fast we were going and we were in the low 50's. The cop turned around and pulled us over and gave my friend a ticket for going over 60. Is this legal?

i'm starting my senior year of highschool and I'm torn between taking statistics or trigg for my last math class. I did awesome in Alg. 1, almost failed Alg. 2(my teacher sucked), and got C's and B's in Geometry(I don't understand it that well, its too abstract).

So, which one would be the best for me to take?

I was working as a waitress a few days ago at my work, and we were extremely slow. So the manager told me to punch out, but I wasn't allowed to leave. How is this legal or fair? I have to stay at work, but yet I'm not getting paid.

My mother told me this was illegal. Does anyone know of any laws for it so I can show my manager next time?

I'm planning on getting a 100 gallon rubbermaid for my Midland Painted Turt. I'm going to need a very powerful filter. I would prefer that it is not Fluval[considering mine broke after just a few months] I'd like a really good quality one so I don't need to worry about my tank getting really dirty and it breaking down.

My dress is white, with black flowers that start from the top and go down. It also has small circles of glitter down it. My prom date's tux is white, with a black vest, and white tie. [All my accessories are black, silver, or white]

The theme for this year's prom is "A Night at the Oscars," so I want something that will look classy and rich.

I was thinking maybe red for the corsage and boutonniere? Because it would be cool to have someone like that to stand out.

I'm filling out an application for a job and it's asking me for my grammar school. I'm confused. Is it like elementary school or middle school?

Friday I woke up sore as hell.. which I thought was from my vigorous excercising the past week.. but then later I started feeling really sick... took my temp, yup a fever.

Well earlier today my temp was 102 and I was sweating like you wouldn't believe! I went and took a colder bath and that helped a little. Now, not too long ago my temp. was 95 degrees and I was freezing.. Now it's back up to 99.9 and my fingers and lips are even cold..plus I'm getting really sore again.

I put on a hoodie and another pair of fleece pj pants but I'm still cold..

Is this serious enough to go to the hospital? I heard it was going around my school.. but I haven't been this sick in years. Plus, my mother had a bad day and I would would feel horrible making her drive into the hopsital tonight. ..

If I buy a Spotted Turtle from a breeder, is it legal for me to own it in the state of Pennsylvania? Please post any link which say so.. please..

What does Traduisez mean?

I bought two tickets for a Hinder concert coming up this Spring and it says "Pit" and then "General Admission" on them, but it gives us seat numbers. I was pretty sure I ordered only Pit tickets, and I'm confused as to why we have seat numbers on them??

I've been wanting to get a turtle for awhile now. But I'm having a hard time deciding on what kind to get.

I would like one that:

-matures at a small size

-is unique

-under $200.00

-has a good temperament

-is a water & land turtle

-and is pretty hardy[meaning, if the water temperature isn't exactly what it should it it's not going to die]

These two nasty girls from school call me just about every weekend at 1 or 2 am trying to harrass me.[ Just like they did in school by constantly calling me names.] They have their number restricted but I'm 99.9% sure it's them. I've answered a few times and it sounded just like them. So is there anyway I can find out what number exactly and if there is anyway to block it? It's getting annoying when I'm tired after work and I'm getting prank calls at 2am. My friend is also getting several of them after I do but they'll sometimes leave nasty voicemails on his cell.

Please help! I really need it...

[I'm not dropping out of high school, fyi] But my friend says you can drop out of high school in 9th grade. For some reason I thought it was you could drop out when you were 17 with a parent signature?
