Wrap it in paper towels and put it in a large air tight ziploc bag.

you need to remove the core and the outer shell leaves, then either separate the leaves by hand or cut them with a LETTUCE knife. If you use metal it browns it right away. If you don't have a lettuce knife, just tear it. An be sure it is mostly dry after you rinse it. Then place it in tupperware and it ought to last you for better than a week or two, depending on the grade of produce. I use romaine hearts and they lat about two weeks if Im sure to blot them dry before storing them. Good luck!

try to keep it free from moisture before you put it away in an air-tight container. layer paper towel in between few leaves. if you have washed it, use a salad drainer do you don't need to wipe each leaf.
to make it crisp, submerged leaves in ice cold water (put ice cubes in) before you use it.

Wash it, wrap it in a clean t-towel or paper towels and put in the crisper drawer of your fridge.
