For AIM, why does my buddy info keep getting deleted?

every single time i sign on to AIM and check my buddy info, it says this user doesnt have a buddy profile.

so i go to edit my buddy info and add stuff like my myspace and facebook links and other stuff like information about what happened today. i click okay or whatever it says like save preferences or whatever, then i would sign off and the next time i sign on (the next day) it says this user doesnt have a buddy profile.

sometimes i just add words too like "hello" and even that would get deleted the next time i sign on

and i make sure that i click ok or save preferences or apply (whatever it says) after im done putting my info in.

please help me
