Put some olive oil in a small bowl and soak your fingers in it. It's probably being caused by a chemical or new product you are using. I would check that out. Or it could just be that your fingers are peeling naturally. Either way the olive oil will help a lot.

Any kind of hand lotion will help, if you use it frequently during the day. I think lotion, rather than grease like Vaseline, would be better -- you don't want to be leaving oily fingerprints everywhere.
Dry, hard, flaky skin is a real problem for lots of people in the wintertime. I have to get somebody else to wash the dishes, and I have to use far less soap and shampoo in the shower than I do in the summer.
The magic potion I use is a hand cream made in England. It's called Lotil. It even helps heal the cracks that can develop on fingertips in really cold weather. I buy it on line through the Vermont Country Store (vermontcountrystore.com).

Get GLYSOMED hand moisturizer. Moisturize 5 times daily and at night before bed lather up your hands in it. Voila.

Add some glycerine in your lotion. apply in your fingernails more often, wash your hands before you do it though. Your nails would grow plus your hands would be healthy
