I am Going To Ireland?
and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to fill a month of downtime? What are some places that I don;t want to miss? Some things I views of scenic land that should see? Most of all, where are some small towns that are full of history and friendly (I am black, and I fear being the only black person there! Lol!) I have often read of the Irish folklore involving faeries...are there any parts of the land where they could tell me some wonderful stories about this? Thanks!
Okay, scary!

Wow sis, Ireland? You have all the luck!
First of all, Ireland has evolved very quickly over the past few decades and is now a cornucopia of race and culture...Blacks are everywhere and you will even find a lot of Asians there (go figure).
You will see that the landscape is absolutely breathtaking and be sure to partake of the local cuisine...it is to die for!
You know you need to call me as soon as you read this and if you need a housesitter...count on Big Brother Almighty!

A month is time to see a large part of the country.
I would recommend Dublin, a great city steeped in History and culture, I particularly enjoyed a Sunday morning History walking tour around the city.
Connemara, on the west coast, it has breathtaking scenery, a wealth of lovely beaches, little islands and harbours, a rugged unpolluted coastline, dramatic mountains, numerous lakes and rivers, woodlands, and a National Park.
Donegal, with misty mountains, serene lakes and dramatic coastlines, more lovely beaches, small towns and villages.
Throughout Ireland you will find lovely scenery, castles, museums, mountains, lakes and lots of pubs.
The people love to chat, have a good sense of humour and are very friendly, I would be surprised if you came across any prejudice, I am English and live in Ireland and if they have a reason to dislike any race it is us.
Ireland is not cheap compared to many places but you can find cheaper places to eat and stay and they are usually pretty good. If you are driving bear in mind most of the roads are narrow and it can take longer to get around than the distance might suggest.
I have included a few websites which should help you plan your holiday.

Ireland is a nice place and so green(cause it rains a lot). There are all nationalities in the larger cities so you wont be alone and I have seen many ethnics in the west town of Ennis in Co Clare. Dublin and Limerick ,Cork and all over the place really. Some of the smaller coastal villages are very quaint and the Cliffs of Mohar are spectacular(dont go near the edge as its a frightful drop and nobody has ever survived it)
Have a Wonderful time and do not forget to try the Guinness!
