Can a 4 month old Akita adapt to sharing a home with a 2 year old English Bulldog?
We just brought home a 4 month old female Akita puppy. She has been very good so far with our cat. He really doesnt seem to bother her. Our English bulldog which is very good natured, but spoiled has been taking fairly well to the Akita, but the Akita is on and off showing some amount of aggression which Im trying to correct. Ive been told they will work it out, which I hope so. If the Akita goes to nip our other dog, I firmly say NO and give her collar a tug. Any suggestions would be very helpful. I never leave them alone, I supervise them at all times, and when I cant the Akita is in a crate.

Your bulldog is female also, right? Akitas really should be done in an opposite gender household; that works best as both genders are often same sex aggressive.
You are right to be supervising and crating the pup when she cannot be watched. You do not leave them to work it out. You decide what goes in your home and aggression(if it actually is aggression) is not one of them.
I do wonder why you are asking this question AFTER you got the puppy. This is something you should have thought about before getting an additional dog, especially an akita.

You need to let the pup be a puppy. It is around 20 weeks old and his puppy permit is about to expire so let the pup learn from you and his fellow surroundings.

No more saying no, it is not understandable by a dog.
And why is the pup in a crate. Why cant the pup learn. At 4 months the Akita is already pre judged and will most likely end up becoming exactly what you fear him to be.
Why did you obtain the Akita if you have a fear of that breed turning on you or another? Do the dog and yourself/family a favor and rehome the dog if that is your thought. if not, reword your post so you do not come off as breed profiling and fearful of your puppy just because of his breed.
Nipping is normal for any pup, niping needs to be corrected, but it is still a puppy behavior. Correct it in an understandable language to a dog, which is growling snarls snaps bites etc.
Your bulldog should help guide you with the puppy behavior.

If he's not neutered then definite. Spay and neuter them the two earlier you finally end up with a catastrophe. A Yorkie in all likelihood does no longer have the skill to furnish beginning to Bulldog puppies. it would desire to o.k. kill the Yorkie and if no longer then it is going to reason serious issues. If that's no longer adequate to place you off 'accidently on purpose' breeding those then think of of the money it is going to fee in vet charges.
