i am trying to log on to aim and it keeps saying connection failed i need to make aim able to be used or something like that how do i get to the settings plz help

Go: Start>Control Panel>Switch to Classic View>Windows Firewall

If your using Windows built in firewall (which no one ever trusts) go to Control Panel and your firewall is there.
If your using a real firewall like Zone Alarm etc - then just open the program and go to Options/Settings. If your using your Router as a firewall, then go to your router log in page, and click on firewall settings.
