see vince, vista sucks. And most people go for Mac OS or linux. They won't even touch the subject of Windows unless they want to say it sucks. lol.

Hello;
I have been playing with computers for 20+ years and I have used a lot of different operating systems.
CP/M was a good operating system for its day.
Tandy made computer that didn't have an operating system ... it used the basic language to control peripherals. (Tandy Color Computer II with Extended Color Basic).
MS-DOS was easy to learn and use ... I think it was the most instructional OS of the bunch.
Unix/Linux is what I use now (Ubuntu Linux 8.10) I like it but I have to look up commands from time to time. Of all the ones I've used I like it the best. I love its security, it is almost virus proof. It is much more efficient then the MS Windows systems.
Windows as an operating system is great, but in some of the early versions (98, 2000) there isn't very good security. One of the bad things about all the Microsoft OS is that they are prone to getting viruses.
Down with the Microsoft hegemony!

Linux All The Way...
Just read the security section under computers and internet here on Yahoo Answers and you will see Why Windows is not my preferred OS. As for Macs when it comes to performance vs. cost they cannot compete with a home built system. I have never gotten a virus or any other malware on a "nix" system and have No History for anyone to browse on my Live Distro.
Privacy and security without being a resource hog. ( a Free OS download is also very affordable )
