Is this offensive, silly, or just rude?
I live down the street from a Kingdom Hall for the Jahova's Witnesses. I want to go over to their place and decorate it for Christmas. I know they don't believe in Christmas, and it would only be on Christmas Eve, and I would take the decorations down after Christmas.

This would be a grave insult to the beliefs of these folks. It would be rude beyond your wildest imagination. Do not do this. It's important to respect the beliefs of other people.

I actually think that would be offensive. If someone does not celebrate Christmas, then they should not have to display symbols and decorations relating to Christmas. You probably would not like someone to decorate your home for a religious holiday that you do not observe, such as Diwali or Hanukka. Just decorate your own home. No one says that everyone has to be alike.

Considering they don't celebrate Christmas, I believe that would be very offensive. I suggest asking them if you could put something up and you'll take it down the next day; however they may say no. You should respect their decision about not celebrating Christmas.

Not to be rude, but it seems like you just want to irritate them. Decorate your own house if you want to decorate so badly. It would be like a Buddist coming over and decorating your house or church for their religion. I celebrate Christmas as well, but don't do it. It's insultive and just plain stupid.

I think it's rude and you'll offend them. If you wanted to decorate your own house that's fine obviously, but I know I would be pissed off if someone came over and decorated my property. And, while it's a public place, it can still be considered vandalism.

Hey numbskull! It's a place of worship!(i.e. a church) you may be violating a civil rights statute.Lay off the Kingdom Hall and "deck the halls" of your cave.

Why would you do that? You are stepping on someone else's belief. It would be offensive, silly and rude. Let it go, think of something silly and funny that does not offend anyone.

It is wrong no matter what refrain from childlike behavior! Rather go to a nursing home and make some lonely elderly person laugh and feel young again!

Sounds disrespectful of their values to me. They might laugh but I wouldn't go there. Maybe something small thats easy to take down. At least that wouldn't inconvenience them if they decided to take the decorations down.

It would be offensive, rude, silly and most importantly trespassing and since most towns don't have court on Christmas I would say quite confining as far as your holiday is concerned should you be detained.
