Brestfeeding and allergy medicine?

So I am allergic to trees and the christmas season with trees in our homes is driving me bananas. What can I take for relief while breastfeeding. If I consult my doctor...is it my doctor or the pediatrician?

Mine were killing me so badly one day that I took a Benadryl. It's considered safe during breastfeeding with the possibilty that it will make your baby sleepy or fussy and it COULD lower milk production. Nothing happened with me. I would consult a pharmacist for something long term, though. I trust pharmacists more than doctors when asking a quesiton about medication.

I'd talk to your doctor (only because you are breastfeeding), but I like Triaminic.

Orange flavor---best thing for allergies (my husband has tried everything going--he's allergic to EVERYTHING--and Triaminic is the only thing that works for him)

    Good Luck
