Does a surrogate mother impart DNA to a fetus?

If a surrogate mother is implanted with a fertilized egg, will her own DNA be added to the fetus? What if anything would that do?

If she is a traditional surrogate, then yes, as her DNA is part of the makeup of the childs (she is the biological mother). But a gestational surrogate, which is more common these days in America, no, her DNA does not fuse with the child's. The placenta blocks it.

No, the DNA will be of the parents, but the surrogate will feed the child, and allow it to grow.

The only thing you have to worry about are toxins in her system, and the content of her diet. A drug user (including smokers, drinkers, etc) would be a terrible choice, but not because the baby will look like her, only because it'll be consuming the same things she does.

nope, doesnt get any dna from surrogate. the egg is developed at fertilisation, so no other dna is needed. the only things baby will get frm surrogate is nutrients, food n o2.
