Math help! Explain answers. Thanks Much?
Colby rolls a number cube several times. She records the results of each roll and organizes her data in the table below.
Number Cube Results
Number (1-6)
Times the Number is Rolled (6-10)
1. 6
2. 9
3. 6
4. 8
5. 11
6. 10
a.) What fraction of the rolls are 2's? What % is this?
b.) What fraction of the rolls are odd numbers? What percent is this?
c.) What % of the rolls is greater than 3?
d.) Suppose Colby rolls the number cube 100 times. About how many times can she expect to roll a 2? Explain.
e.) If Colby rolls the number cube 1,000 times about how many times can she expect to roll an odd number? Explain
Please explain answers. Thanks
This is 6th grade homework. And sweet is its's so damn easy than why didnt you answers it. That's what I'm asking for is help to explain it. If you dont have serious answers than dont answer.

a) The fraction of rolls that are 2 is 9/50 because Colby rolled the dice 50 times (add all the rolls together). This cannot be simplified because 9 only can be divided by 3 and 9, and 50 does not divide into either of these numbers.
The percentage is 18%. This is found by using the following formula; "x divided by y times 100" x is the number of rolls for two (9) y is the number of rolls all together (50) so: 9 divided by 50 times 100 equals 18.
b) The fraction of rolls that are odd is 23/50. This again cannot be simplified because 23 and 50 do not go into the same numbers.
The percentage is 46% Using the same formula as in question "a" (x divided by y times 100) we can find the percentage.
c) The percentage of rolls greater than 3 is 66.66% and using the round-up, round-down method, you would round up to 67%. To find the answer to this question. You can use the formula previously used, all you have to change is; x into the number of rolls greater than 3 (4) and y into the number of rolls (6).
d) She would expect to roll a 2 around 18 times, because when the dice was rolled 50 times, she rolled 2 nine times. So in doubling the number of rolls, you find the answer.
e) She would expect to roll an odd number around 230 times. Because she rolled an odd number 23 times and by mulitplying the number of rolls by 10, you then need to multiply the number of times you rolled an odd number, ending up with 230.
There you go! Hopefully it's understandable, as i don't know how old you are. =] It was fun helping you!....Sorry it took so long lol!

If you use a spreadsheet or calculator you can solve this.
a) Add up all the throws & divide into 9, the number of 2's.
Multiply the fraction by 100, or shift the decimal 2 places for %.
b) Total the odd numbered throws, divide by total throws, as before.
c) Add throws 4, 5, & 6, divide as before, for %.
d) Normal expectation for any number is 100/6.
e) Half the numbers are odd, so 500 times.

A. the fraction is 9 over the total number of rolls (50). The percentage is 9 divided by the total number of rolls.
B. The fraction is 23 over the total number of rolls. The percentage is 23 divided by the total number of rolls.
C. The percentage is 29 divided by the total number of rolls.
D. She rolled a two 9 times out of 50 rolls, so you need to set up a proportion. 9 over 50 = X over 100. Then solve for X.
E. She rolled odd numbers 23 times out of 50 rolls. Again, set up a proportion, 23 over 50 = X over 1,000, and solve for X.
