Disneyland paris vs Florida? Is it worth going to Paris or saving to go to Florida in a few years? ?
My husband and i are huge fans of disneyworld in florida, we have a one year old son who we would love to take next year but just cant afford it as we live in the UK, i have been to disneyland paris once about ten years ago shortly after it opened and was eurodisney. For anyone who has been recently is it worth the money?! And obviously its not nearly as big and Florida but i have heard its a lot better than it used to be! How expensive is food n gifts etc? Thanks x

Disneyland Paris is obviously nowhere near on the same scale as Disneyland Florida - the latter being the size of greater Manchester, which just wouldn't be possible in Europe. I've only been to Disneyland Paris, and enjoyed it both times, despite the terrible weather - which isn't any different from UK terrible weather! Think of it to be on a similar scale to Alton Towers, except with more theming, and obviously the Disney-related bits. Of course, you can throw in a visit to the city itself, which is definitely worth the visit. If combined with a visit to Paris, it's definitely worth it. If you're just going for the theme park, it's probably better to save for Florida.

First of I just want to say I have been to Disney World Florida 12 times but Euro Disney 2 times, and I live in the UK so its cheaper for me to go to Paris. The cast members at Disney World are really nice and friendly, they will always love to talk to you and give you a free balloon. The ones at Euro Disney are rude and just cant be bothered. Florida Disney offers you 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, shopping complex, over 20 hotels, golf courses and more. Paris only gives you the two parks. The one in Florida is so large the Disney world area is nearly the size of San Francisco. Plus Florida is just the best place you will ever visit with so much to do included Disney, Universal, Sea World, Lego land, Busch Gardens, Beaches, Dinner shows, cool American Restaurants, Friendly people, NASA, weather, the nicest villas and more. The only thing is price. Flights to Paris (about 40 mins) on Easy jet is as low as £30 each way but Florida because its an 8 hour flight is around £800-£1200 round trip.
Euro Disney is good, but Disney World Florida is AMAZING and Central Florida is one of the best places on earth!!!!

I've been to Disney Paris twice and Florida once. Loved both. Food is superior in Disney Paris, terrible in Florida. Florida is a lot cheaper once you are there (as opposed to France which is expensive generally). Your son is very young and probably isn't going to appreciate it until he's at least 4 or 5. If you are secretly going for yourselves, go to Paris now and wait to do Florida when he's a bit older. You could always combine the trip with a visit to the city as well! Enjoy.

Hi Gail - I have never been to Disneyland Paris personally but have friends who have been. They told me that it was VERY expensive and the weather was rubbish (they did go in the summer)
My family and I went to Disneyland Florida last year and it was absolutely amazing! I am 49 years of age and as soon as I stepped through the gates of the Magic Kingdom I regressed to a nine year old child again!! There really is no place like it - we found the prices to be VERY reasonable (merchandise, food and drinks in the parks), and of course the weather was wall to wall sunshine. One of the best holidays we have ever had.
I would say, wait and save up to go to Florida - you will have a ball!

Paris is well-known for its cafés and restaurants, its cinemas and movies, and their basic mood so have a bite of the feeling starting from with Hotelbye . In Paris are 1000s of restaurants to pick from along with lots of French restaurants but are a huge selection of Italian restaurants, pizzerias, Vietnamese restaurants, and restaurants serving food from almost every place in the world. Getting break fast in Paris is anything unique so give you the chance to feel just like you're are living an attractive history and spend time visiting this great city.

Disney paris is great for a short break - 3 nights max.... It is is fairly exspenise, but just shop around for the best deals... But if u were looking to make a 2 week holiday, go to Florida, at least you can go to all the other parks aswell.... I would wait till ur son was a bit older for both places....

Seeing as your son's so young I think he'll appreciate going more in a few years anyway! Paris was really expensive when I went but it was quite a while ago.
