What will we call this decade from 2000 to 2009?
We had the fifties, the sixties, the seventies, etc. What do we call this decade? The noughts? What did they call it a century ago, between the gay nineties (1890-99) and the roaring twenties (1920-29)?
And what will be call next decade? The teens?

The Millennial Age, I suppose... we didnt just start a new century but also a new millennium. So yeah, lol... Good question though.
Like on vh1 they have i love the 70s 80s 90s, and "iLove" (lol) the New Millennium.

I've been calling it the naughts ("naught" being a zero). Then it would be the teens again, right? When we refer to the period 80-90 years ago, most people say "early 20th century" and avoid calling it anything, ha ha.

I think we shall call it the Suckies.
I am pretty sure they called the 1900 to 1909 period the aughts. I am basing this off some dialog in the movie version of The Music Man though.
