Taking Unlocked phone to India?

Hi,,

I would like to take a touch screen phone to india. Can anyone tell me what would phone can be used in india.

I know that all AT & T and Cingular Phones work in India. But is there any other phoen that can work over there. I am moving in couple days.

    you need to check that your phone is what they call tri-band, if it is then itll work anywhere.
