The auto bailout failed to get enough votes. How can Bush step in and give them money anyways?
We have elected officials called Representatives and Senators. They voted against a bailout for the automotive company. Now Bush wants to use money from another account, the people have already said no. I hate to say it but maybe one of the auto companies should go under. I am confused we have Chevrolet and GM which makes the exact same car just with different names, stupid. Mercury / Lincoln and Ford are the same way. Close down these alternate companies. Also a town of 5,000 people has a car dealership or two, close them.
Bush, take a hint, ur approval rating is almost nonexistent. Shut up and listen to the American people for a change.

There are three major US automakers. GM, Ford, and Chrysler. They are pretty much controlled by the UAW. The UAW, in their arrogance, is fighting the automakers and the lawmakers. Last night was a strong message that the UAW isn't handling the situation very well, and the President is stepping in to try to overcome their stupidity.

George W. Bush is a conservative, and conservatism is about preserving the things as they are. Letting GM or Ford go down would mean change of ownership of car factories. Americans have placed Bush twice in the White House because they do not want changes, they want the world to stop changing around them. As for low approval rating of current president, when people get what they asked for and they are unhappy about it, it means they do not know themselves what they want.
