Huevo's artist of the day?
Best known as the vocalist for Screaming Trees, Mark Lanegan's projects are vast, including contributions with the Queens of the Stone Age and The Twilight Singers and most lately as a member of The Gutter Twins with former Afghan Whigs frontman Greg Dulli. His solo material, IMO, is his best to date, stripping down the music to showcase his unique soulful voice. Listen to the clips and leave a comment if you like.

Thanks Roxel, I truly appreciate that. You have great taste yourself!
In most of Lanegan's older material, Mike Johnson would play the guitar for him. Johnson has a few discs of his own out but he is better known as the bassist for Dinosaur Jr after Lou Barlow left the band.
LOL, Captain, absolutely not, that's one of The WP discs I have inn my collection. It's no Sea Monsters though.

Hey Huevo, great pick. Mark Lanegan is awesome, I like pretty much all his work. I was actually listening to Bubblegum earlier, it's probably my favorite of his solo albums. I also loved the first album, Ballad of Broken Seas, that he made with Isobel Campbell. It's too bad more people don't know about him, he is definitely an underrated/overlooked artist.

hi huevo
he's certainly someone who deserves more of my attention.
i did listen to "ballad of broken seas" a while back, but only once or twice.
sometimes the mood has to be right for things to connect properly, you know?
of the 3 clips there, on first impressions, i prefer the last one.
am i the only one who sees 'saturnalia' and thinks 'wedding present' ?

Nice man. I don't mean to brag, but you really have a good taste in music. I loved the guitar in that song. Nice choice once again.
