my battery died on my laptop and i plugged it up after the screen went black. the light that indicates its plugged up, lit up. but it didnt turn on. i tried pressing the power button, ctrl+alt+delete, esc, and click the mouse buttons. nothing worked. i had to turn the laptop all the way off and turn it back on. is there another way?

Cold booting is, unfortunately, the only way to restart your computer in this case.
