What are the specific disadvantages of having a Monarchy?

I know there must be some pretty big reasons for not having a Constitutional Monarchy in places like India, South Africa, America, Ireland and other Colonies that use to be part of the British Empire.

But what specifically are the reasons for not wanting a Monarchy?

And does anyone know why it is only Australia, Canada, New Zealand of all Commonwealth Nations that still have the Queen as their Head of State? Did she not want to be in charge of the poorer nations or something simple like that?

Well, some of the others DO have her as their queen.

Generally speaking, you are right, though - she tends not to be queen of the poorer states. A lot of these states are poor because they are (or were) misgoverned by dictators who made themselves presidents. Think of who made these countries republics - Robert Mugabe, Milton Obote, Siaka Stevens etc.

Having a monarchy is a sign of democratic self-confidence. Feeling the need to get rid of it is simply political immaturity.

extra straightforward to respond to : it is worst. that's dictatorship. between a constitutional monarchy and a republic, i in my view like the constitutional monarchy. the two structures are the two democratic, yet i've got self assurance the constitutional monarchy works extra helpful because of the fact in the monarchy (a reigning monarchy, no longer a governing one) you have a independent arbiter between diverse political events. If the monarchy have been a call-making element, then i could be forced to believe the guy who does not think of that's as democratic as a republic. incredibly, we Canadians have discovered to stay with our gadget, and have been able to criticize the Republican gadget from the outdoors. human beings and Frenchmen have become conscious of their respective republics, and could in all danger see the holes in our constitutional monarchy. in spite of everything, a democracy is barely as good because of the fact the human beings we choose for. My father consistently used to assert we've the government we deserve.

The Quen of England is a neutral figure in a country's affairs. She does not assume the role of dictator or interfere with the political system to her benefit.

The downside to this is the added expense of catering to her entourage each time she visits the country - traffic control, airport security, personal protective services and media relations. She's not greedy, just considered a VIP.

It cost billions of dollars to keep them up. If they got rid of them they would have so much extra money its not even funny.
