Here are a few that are easy and taste really good:

    Cranberry Chicken

    6 chicken breasts, boneless skinless

1 bottle Catalina salad dressing, small bottle

1 can whole berry cranberry sauce

1 package dry onion soup mix

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Spray 9x 13" baking dish with non stick spray. Place chicken in baking dish. Pour salad dressing over chicken, sprinkle with dry onion soup mix, top with cranberry sauce. Cover with foil.

Bake for one hour. Remove foil, baste chicken, return to oven and continue to bake for 30 minutes.

    German Style Green Beans

    2 - 3 slices bacon, fried crisp

    3 tablespoons onion, chopped

    1 can green beans, drained

    2 tablespoons vinegar

    1 tablespoon sugar

Reserve bacon drippings in skillet. Sautee onion in drippings until transparent. Add beans, vinegar and sugar. Heat over medium heat stirring frequently for about 10 minutes. Crumble bacon over beans and toss before serving.

    Twice Baked Potatoes

    6 baking potatoes

    1 cup cottage cheese

    ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

    salt and pepper

    paprika

    grated cheese

    chives, chopped

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Pierce potatoes and lightly rub them with a little oil. Place in oven and bake until done, about 35 - 40 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool a little. Reduce oven to 325 degrees.

Carefully slice potatoes in two, lengthwise. Scoop out pulp leaving about 1/4" around skins to keep them intact. Place pulp in mixing bowl. In a blender, process cottage cheese until creamy. Add to potatoes, season with garlic powder, salt and pepper and mash all together.

Spoon mixture into potato skins, dividing evenly. Sprinkle with paprika, chives and cheese. Place on baking pan, return to oven until lightly browned, about 30 minutes.

    Shortbread

    2 cups Unsalted butter, softened

    1 cup Sugar

    4 cups Flour

    ¼ teaspoon Salt

    1. Cream butter and sugar in large mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in flour and salt. Knead the dough briefly until smooth. If dough is too sticky, add a bit more flour. (Dough can be refrigerated up to several days; soften slightly before shaping cookies.)

    2. Heat oven to 325℉. Have ungreased baking sheets ready.

    3. Pat half of the dough out on lightly floured surface to ½-inch thickness. Use cookie cutters to cut out desired shapes. Place cookies 2 inches apart on baking sheets. Bake until light brown on edges, 20 to 25 minutes. Cool on wire racks.

This time of year, there is only one answer for me: the Betty Crocker recipe for sugar cookies. One of my first holiday memories is of my grandmother and her Betty Crocker Picture Cookbook from the 1950's and a kitchen full of us grandchildren as "helpers". Making sugar cookies is a simple thing, made infinitely more complex and exciting by last-minute improvisations, arguing over who gets to use what cookie cutter, and who gets to lick the spoon. The smell of baking sugar cookies still brings tears to my eyes when I think of those days.

The cookbook itself passed down to my mom, then to my sister. We have a newer edition, but nothing will ever take the place in my memory of that old tattered book and the well-known page that meant Christmas was truly here.

The recipe itself is now online, the link is below. I hope you use it and it brings you some of the delight and love it has brought to millions of small children over the decades.

    and 1 lbs linguine pasta---cooked

Cook chicken in large skillet with spices until chicken is no longer pink. add in the diced tomatoes and tequila. Let simmer 5 minutes.

Directly pour over the pasta and serve immediately.

Serve with salad and garlic bread.

Oh to many to list. I like recipes that are cheap and easy to prepare. I must say right now in my house chicken pasta is our favorite. Everyone will eat it and it's less that $5 to make. And for dessert of course my mom's pumpkin cake recipe is #1. Here is the recipe links:
