What happens if a lab mouse bites?
It happened 10 days ago. It was a black ( may be c57 strain) mouse, bit me on my thumb of 2mm size, it broke my skin, but did not bleed (although blood appeared). I don't know whether i had tetanus in last 10years. My technician said, they are all clean animals, so nothing will happen.

If you don't have an infection by now, and the mouse was not being used for an infectious disease trial you should be alright.

He may have a skin condition that needs to be addressed. I have a dog that did the same thing and we found out she has a skin condition that needs to be treated with meds every so many months and medicated shampoo. The vet told us its common in all animals, not just dogs so you may want to look into it. Try contacting your nearest animal shelter or the vet and see if they know of any rodent specialists just in case you want to dig a bit deeper into this.

Nothing will happen. I would think it would have healed by now.
Lab mice are like pet store mice; they do not carry diseases. Where would they catch them from?
