Do Pioneer Plasma's have closed captioning?
We heard that some models dont. Is this true?

Yes and No. Their HDTVs known as Kuro, Elite and/or Elite Kuro which have NTSC (analog) and ATSC (digital) tuners built-in which the closed captioning chip set are located have closed captioning features.
Now, their commercial Plasma displays that have NO tuners built-in or speakers and/or stands for that matter do not have closed captioning.
The difference between the two is that HDTV are fully integrated TVs and HD displays are more for customized or commerical applications where the need for CC is not required.
