how do you feel about this?

in a newspaper report today (the sunday people) it has been estimated that the taxpayer will have to cough up an average of £2000 a year extra each to compensate for the benefits paid to the estimated 3 million unemployed in 2009 because there are not enough jobs to go round in the UK.

as there are an estimtated 1 million immigrants working in our country the pro-immigrants (like the rest of us) will have to find an average £30 a week extra to support their cause how do they feel about this?

Update:

alex r-i AM against immigration-a fact i have never tried to hide since 1997.

1 million immigrants working here equals 1 million jobs denied to the indigenious population.

and yes-my grandfather was german-but my family on my fathers side goes back generations in british blood.

Update 2:

n: the subject is about employed immigrants-we the taxpayer (thats me and you) will have to find an extra 2 grand a year on average each to support the benefits being paid out to the native population who cannot find work because of the influx of immigrants-although supporting the unemployed ones is bad enough.

I was going on well over 2 years ago about what would happen in a recession to all the immigrants. The government did not bargain for a recession when they allowed millions of foreigners into the UK.

I always also said that working in the UK should not mean permanent residence (Tony will know the "Gastarbeiter" term once used in Germany)

So we now have too many immigrants who are also probably not wanted by our government. I have no answer, what a mess. We should at least employ the army to remove illegals

Your maths are wrong, 1 million immigrants do not deny 1 million who were born here jobs. The immigrant population has a much higher percentage of skilled and professional workers, often in areas we are woefully short in. Dentists for example this country has consistently failed to produce enough dentists (for the last 40 years) and we have had to fill that gap through immigration. If all our immigrant dentists left tomorrow, we would simply have thousands of vacancies that would not get filled because they require a high level of academic achievement , years of training and a desire to do that job, our unemployed could not fill those vacancies. The same goes for doctors, engineers, accountants, scientists, translators, etc.

I think the way some things are done with employment is wrong but I have to say if someone wants to come to our country and work why not!

There are sooo many young single people in the UK who basically don't want to work I know lots and it makes my blood boil.

There is no reason why when leaving school they cant get jobs but they always say its not what I want to do, then I say get a job until something you want comes along or go to college and work for it!

Its not just young ones its a range of ages.

I am 39 and have only ever had 2 jobs I AM LUCKY but I have never sponged off the government.

Of those unemployed in this country lots and lots dont want work stop their benefits I say!

Whether we like it or not;Labour no longer represent the poor pensioner and one parent family who most likely live in a damp high rise flat but now represent the upper middle class.

It is in Labour's interests to keep encouraging migrant workers to keep flooding into the country so that they can depress the wages bill.

This is a continuation of Margaret Thatcher's ideology of a so called 'Free Market'

But what can you expect when the Labour Members of Parliament's ranks are drawn from ex-Public School boys and girls who eventually become top barristers and solicitors.

The Labour party's political policies have screwed the worker down so much that they are now advocating that workers take a 10 to 20 % pay cut but the fuel bill and the council taxes goes up every year between 5% and 10 %!And the guardians of the worker ,The Trade Unions are standing back and doing and saying nothing! Why?Are the leaders of the Trade Union Movement hoping for their silence hoping to be rewarded with a 'safe' Labour seat at the next coming election which will occur about May or June 2009.

What would they be saying if the Conservatives or Lib Dems were in power doing the same thing. It is one big con and 'smokescreen'!

How I long for the days of Billy Wright and Bill Shorthouse!Life seemed so uncomplicated then!

The world isnt that black and white where one can say lets kick out all of the immigrants. Most of them are very nice people and some of them have high skills and will accept less money than the British counterparts. There are some (not all) lousy white British people who have never worked at all and never will. Perhaps we should export anybody who is not pulling their weight, Immigrant or White Brit.

Sorry, you start off talking about the unemployed, then veer off completely to talk about immigrants who are working here. These are people with work permits, working for UK businesses, paying UK tax. The two appear utterly unconnected - after all, there were three million unemployed in the Thirties as well. Unemployment is a result of economic factors, not of immigration.

"in a newspaper report today (the sunday people)"

    Thats an oxymoron surely?

Sounds like youre against immigrants. Are you against all immigrants? Or just the ones who dont play for Wolves or who came from Germany to this island - your ancestors?

and the US thought Obama was something new...lol

So how do you Brit's feel supporting dead weight? Does it make you feel good-you know love thy vagrant-I mean thy neighbor and all that crap? Or does it feel like swimming the Channel with lead knickers on? I can't imagine spending $333.00 a month so someone can shoot smack in their veins!

the labour party sailed in on a sea of lies. and that's how it will sail out. i say more fool the idiots who kept voting the lying con artists in time and time again. Christ! i said this mess was coming five years ago. you cant keep importing thousands of people into a small country every week and expect to be able to support them all when the money has run out.......new labour should be thrown in prison for treason for the deliberate damage they have inflicted onto this country and its people. and as for the EU and its "open border policy" + its stupid bloody human rights bill.....the sooner we dump the EU the better off we will be. the whole thing has been a farce from start to finish.
