What would you do in this situation 39 weeks pregnant..?

Ok my original due date was tomorrow, after my ultrasound they changed it to the 24th. All weekend I have had strong contractions that are evenly places 10-11 minutes apart, meaning I am not able to sleep. However they are not getting closer together, or any stronger.

I have an appointment today at 2:45 and at this point I am in pain and not sleeping at all. My doctors have never mentioned induction, but at this point I really want to be because I feel like if I continue on this journey of no sleep because of contractions by the time my baby comes I will be too tired to push and be forced into a c-section which is much worse to me than inductions...

Update:

Oh and last week I was 1.5 cm dialated, and 95% effaced.

Talk to your doctor, he should also by now be your friend, so explain to him whats going on and how tired you are if its safe he should induce your labor if not a couple more weeks of pain will be well worth a healthy baby, as soon as you hold that bundle of joy all this will be a forgotten memory.. best of luck and congratulations babies are great, and well worth all the discomforts ..

So ask your doctor about being admitted to the hospital and being put on pitocin. He will either agree or not based on his assessment of you. Just keep in mind that induction has been shown to also lead to increased c-section rates....so just because they induce doesn't mean you will be able to avoid that. Good luck.

You probably are in labor and if your contractions don't get closer they will give you medicine to help the contractions get closer. They are probably going to send you to the hospital after your appointment just to be sure and check on you and baby. Congratulations and good luck.

Mention it to your doctor, tell him youve had enough and that you want to be induced. Good Luck!

I wouldn't want to be induced, it'll most likely happen soon :)
