In need of 40th birthday ideas?
My sister turns 40 in January and we rented a hall and dj but I want to make it extra special, she is my best friend and I want her to really enjoy herself. We did it at a hall because she definitely wants her children and nieces and nephews there. I was thinking of having a few people play a trivia game against her with everything relating to the year she was born. I'm not sure if this is tacky...however, I really want some more ideas and suggestions on how to make it a memorable night for her. Thanks..please give serious responses.

I love the trivia game idea! Also- she was born in the sixties- why not have the guests come dressed in 60's costume? I would also have pictures of her throughout the years spread around for the guests to view as well as a party favor that they can all take home to remember the party. Also- how about sending her to a spa the day before the party for a massage, manicure and pedicure and/or facial so she feels her best for the party? You, by the way, are an awesome sister! Very thoughtful!

A great joke is to get a dozen dead roses at the florist, cut the flower head off, and place a prune on each stem.
next, put together a "survival kit" with a box of depends, some polydent, a box of prunes, some geritol, etc etc and place it all in a suitcase or other container.
Get crazy and have fun!
