If you are simply looking for opinions, I am a Republican because I believe in a smaller federal government with more power residing in the states and individuals. I believe in a strong military, lower taxes, more personal responsibility, and individual freedoms. I believe in being tough on illegal immigrants and tough on crime.

I've best seen the difference between liberals and conservatives (or Republicans, if you will) as a difference in both language used and world view.
