Democrats realize the bills have to be paid by someone. Running up a multi trillion $$ debt in 8 years while lowering the amount of money coming into government doesn't do that.

Then come the bank failures, the stock market crashes, the home foreclosures, the lost jobs, the destroyed pensions - just like every other time we have a Republican President!!!

Yes, look at proposals in Virginia and NY. Instead of cutting spending, they proposes to tax cigarettes, downloaded music, sodas, cable tv and more. All this will do is force more people to stop using the products, therefore reducing the estimated gross tax revenue and then they will need to raise taxes again.
