I heard that Yankee Stadium wasn't going to be torn down but instead converted into a museum. Although I cannot confirm the accuracy of this report.

Although I am a diehard Yankee hater, I do think that Yankee stadium should remain intact as there have been countless memories established in the stadium.

Yes it does, but that's the problem with a lot of things today. It has to be all about the $$$. They could care less about all the history that was made in Yankee Stadium. Even if they move all the mementos to the new park it will never be the "House that Ruth Built". I'm not a Yankee fan but I sure don't understand this. The Yankees are so deep in tradition out of that stadium. It's just a shame. I feel bad for all you Yankee fans. :(

They should tear it down, and put up a big sign in it's place, that says "This was the birthplace and deathplace of the New York Yankees. They were nothing until it was built, and became nothing after it was torn down. An era ended here, never to be seen again"

Cause it's not 26 and counting. It's just 26. Still, you can be satisfied with 26.

Yes, people are going to protest. They are tearing down a historical monument that is close to many people. There will be nothing stopping them from going.

However, that will not stop the actual process from happening. It will be torn down, whether the fans like it or not. I will not protest it, because I am far away, and there is nothing I can do to stop it.

I don't think they should tear it down, if they have any sense, sell the seats and field for money, but keep the outside structure. Then they can use that for a museum, and get more money.

    GO YANKEES!!!!

It happened 35 years ago >Where have you guys been ?

The edifice that is on the site is only a remodeled shell of the actual House That Ruth Built

I love the stadium and what not, but why would they leave it there? It would be a huge waste of money.
