My hubby works 12 hour days from 6 am to 6 pm. He's on a rotating schedule, so I work on the days he's home, and vice a versa. One of us is always with our daughter. During the day we just do our thing... run errands, play, clean, cook, etc. It works out.

I work 8 to 3. My husband leaves before I do so I'm in charge of getting the kids ready and to school and day care. I also do all the grocery shopping, etc. My husband usually works from 5:30 am to around 5 pm, but his schedule changes fairly often. I do most of the cooking, and my daughter and I do the dishes together. We both work on the laundry, bathing the kids, homework, picking up around the house, whatever needs to be done. Generally I'm the one who does the "deep" cleaning around the house, although my husband will sweep and mop. It took us a long time to get to this point. I used to be a stay at home mom, so when I went back to work it was a rude awakening. He now understands that I can't do it all, and I understand that he doesn't always see what needs to be done, so I ask (nicely) for help where I need it. It works out pretty well.
