Help! Robert Frost Poem: After Apple Picking?

I think "human sleep" just means normal sleep.. because animals die too, so why would death be a "human" sleep?

Also, I'd say that "long sleep" is a euphemism for death, since to humans, the only "long sleep" we can have is death.
