What is the best present I could get my brother for his 12th Birthday?

It's in 2 weeks, and my budget is $50. Would a pair of Nike or Adidas shoes, do it?

Also on the side what prank could I pull on him before I give him his "real" present?

I always find a giftcard is great, If you can find a pair of shoes you can afford on you budget, that is great! But if you get him a visa giftcard, if he wants to buy shoes he can or he can put it to something else he wants.

As for the gag, if you get a giftcard, wrap it and put it in a box, wrap that box and put a tag on it that says almost there, then put that box in a bigger box and different tags, do this until you run out of boxes to put it in. if you have a big enough gift bag put the box in there. he will open each "gift" and will get annoyed but it is so much fun!

Does he like music? If he likes music just get him a ton of albums from his favorite artist. Money always comes in handy when it comes to birthday presents, give him that $45 for his birthday and you'll be his hero. If he likes candy, you could get him some of that, like m&ms or skittles. I mean, lets remember he's still twelve. You could get him a couple movies, or take him to the movies. Hope this helps! :D

Get him a jersey of his favourite sports team.

Before you give him the jersey, give him a pair of socks for a present and say, "Sorry, I was low on budget this year." Then give him the real present.

If he's into computer games, get him a computer game.

If he's into shoes get him new shoes.

OR the easyer way, just ask him what sort of thing he would want for his birthday. Just dont get him anything pointless and stupid that he would never use.
