Need help organizing an American Redneck Rodeo in Suffolk UK for the summer 2009?

As a German entrepreneur extraordinaire I have this great idea for the the folks of Suffolk and to their utmost delight, instead of the usual boring like...... the The 4th Suffolk Folk Festival, to bring this great American pass time to their doorsteps, with a authentic Coon BBQ, horseshoe games,a rifle booth and lots of beer.As musical guest we'll have the Southern Discomfort and The Good O'le Boys with their latest hit "Married my Cousin".I think it'll attract record crowds and I'll make a bundle.

Do you agree?

Last year I tried a Flea market Swap shop down in Pakenham with German antique goods and it went bust. The only things we sold during the weekend was three old WW2 air raid sirens, whose sound BTW scared the hell out of the Germans but the British buyers thought they had a lovely sound and makes them reminiscent of things in the past. Go figure.

Should I go ahead and schedule this great event with the Suffolk Council?

And what other attractions do you suggest?

This is just wrong! All except the bit about you needing help. Some folk were dropped on their heads as babies but you must have been mistaken for a basket ball (still an easy mistake to make). Still we always try to acomodate our German friends at the Suffolk festival with events like formation star jumping, hunt the landmine and of course the "Talk the biggest load of old twaddle contest"

How about a real Canadian 'bush party'. We'll need a few boxes of Old Dutch, some Fletcher's individually wrapped wieners, French's mustard and Nalley's relish and many cases of the brown bottled swill of choice - Canadian, Blue, Kokanee or (an inexplicable local anomaly) Lucky Lager - and a '40 pounder' or three of rye whiskey (not Canadian Club...nobody really drinks that here). Add a bigass fire and anything from a couple of acoustic guitars to a full stage with generator and PA system and from 4-500 and find a nice secluded spot off in the bush and we got ourselves a bush party! Let's get hammered and rock!

Great idea. Those refined, and sometimes stuffy people, need a good Redneck show to lighten up their 'dry' senses of humor. We know cowboys and carnies, old and new, and you must bring some moonshine to highlight the festivities. I'll see what I can get you from the county fair --- they leave a lot of great leftover food and people to play with. Don't forget the pie eating contest.

Don't forget to get one or two Monster trucks to run over some little Suffolk style automobiles. You might also want to see if anyone there knows how to drive fast and make left turns. Keep lots of PBR and pretzels on hand.

Most ideas from "The Dukes of Hazard," and "The Beverly Hillbillies," should help you a lot Tyler. Of course, you'll need some input from Jeff Foxworthy ... read his books and watch his shows.

I might go, myself, if the Royals will be attending. You have, no doubt, invited them ... they need to make room in their royal schedule quite far in advance.
