I think The Waltons had a huge impact in the 70's. And perhaps Little House in the 80's. But I still think The Waltons will go down in history as the better show.

I think Little House on The Prairie made a bigger impact in TV history than the waltons. They are both good shows tho!

I don't know if I have a favorite.....still watch them on Hallmark channel and have turned my daughters on to them.. They prefer Little House, but I think it is because they can better relate to the girls on there.....and they wish Charles Ingalls was their dad.
