  • My one year old and milk...?

My son is now one, well, almost 13 months. He has always eaten cheese and yogurt. Of course, recently we switched to cows milk vit D when he was 12 months. We eased him into the milk by only giving half milk and half formula, and gradulally went to milk. He did really well for a long time. Recently, he began spitting up after milk after drinking. We gave him ice cream tonight and he spit up 20 minutes after. There is not a history of intolerance anywhere on either side of his family. What is going on?

  • What do you think about 2012?

I have always been a woman of faith, and most things do not shake me up. To be honest the idea of 2012, in the past, I thought was ridiculous because no man knows the time of Jesus' return as it says in the Bible; however, I do believe something major is going to happen that day. What do you think?

  • I made this soup and I love it. But feel it is missing something....any suggestions?

    2 tsp olive oil

1 lb boneless and skinless chick. breasts (I would double this though) (4 breasts) Cube or shred the chicken.

1/2 medium onion chopped (if you like onion make it large)

    1 1/2 cups milk

1-10.5 ounce can condensed cream of chicken soup

1-10 ounce package frozen chopped spinach, thawed (or defrossted in microwave) squeezed dry.

    1/2 tsp chili powder

    1/2 tsp ground cumin

1/4 cup of shredded chedder cheese (I personally would use more)

In a large nonstick saucepan, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Put the chicken in and cook throughly.

Stir in the onion. Cook for 1 or 2 minutes until the onion is tender-crisp.

Stir in remaining ingedints, EXCEPT CHEESE. Bring to a boil over hugh heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce the heat and simmer for 6-8 minutes to blend the flavors, stir occasionally. (this was a little bland the first time, so I would say longer is better, but be sure to cover it.)

Serve the soup with sprinkled chedder and flour tortillas for dipping.

Great recipe! I loved it! I would say to let it stoup for awhile if you can as to really enhance the flavor. Even though this soup is great, I still feel like it is missing something, so try to figure out what could be added to make it better.

  • When does goat cheese expire?

There is no expiration on the package and it is very well packed, never opened. Been in the fridge for at least a few months. No visible mold and cheese is still soft. Is it still good?

  • Is it too early to feed my 11 month old son eggs? ?

I know that they say to wait a year, but he is almost a year. He is refusing all foods, even foods he use to love in the past, like sweet potatoes. He won't even eat apple sauce or pears. He only likes crackers. YES, I have tried giving him finger foods to feed himself as well. I am kind of at my witts end here. If you are going to tell me to just let him starve and he will eat it when he is hungry enough, save your breath. That is not an option for me.

  • My son's ear infection...?

My child has had a recurring inner ear infection for the past month (he is 7 months old). The last antibiotic the doctor put him on was Amoxocillin (which I informed him of at the last appt). We had to go see the doc again since the infection didn't clear up, and he gave him Amoxocillin with Clavolate Postassium. I thought that when one antibiotic didn't work, that they would need to give him another. Am I misinformed? or is the Clavolate Potassium the difference?
