The traditional 2nd anniversary gift is cotton, however the contemporary gift is china.

hello, well it is cotton, and normally you would but a table cloth or something like that, but nowadays in japan people give each other gifts like a kimono basically matching dressing gowns. this way you can find an item in a colour that you both like and even get it embroider to remember the day. i hope that this helps you more than just writing cotton.
