Sugar is bad for dogs but not as bad as chocolate. Sugar is really bad for their teeth and so is syrup. Unless your dog had a large amount of sugar and syrup it won't effect your dog. So your dog will be OK!!! =)

They use chemicals for the base of the Christmas trees, I think preservative and pesticides. Call your vet asap. They poison dogs. Make sure he will be fine! It can harm his internal organs.

Yes, he will be okay. Better go get some imodium though. If he isn't used to eating sugary stuff - which he should not be - it will give him a belly ache. The same as any other food they aren't used to eating.
