Shadowmarch by Tad Williams any comments?
I read Shadowmarch... and thought the ending was rather abrupt.. I am getting ready to read Shadowplay..
I read Shadowmarch in one sitting and was intrigued by the world he'd created and the magic he used. The political intrigue kept things lively as well.
Anyone else read either of these two books?

I have read Shadowmarch, along with his previous fantasy series, whose common name eludes me at the moment. There is no denying that Tad Williams is a very talented and accomplished writer, yet...sometimes, at least for me, reading one of his books is like eating a piece of dry turkey, where all you do is chew, and chew, and chew...
Nevertheless, I will probably pick up a copy of Shadowplay at some point, probably when it's released in mass market paperback. Despite his flaws, Williams is still better than many other writers out there.

I preferred his Otherland series. I thought Shadowmarch was.. a bit dull, actually. The best book I've read of his is The War of the Flowers.
