I love books about vampires, werewolves, wereleopards and other mythical creatures. My Favorite Authors include: Laurell K. Hamiton, Charlaine Harris, Mercedes Lacky, Anne McCaffrey, David Eddings, Terry Brooks, Keri Arthur, Tad Williams, Kristen Britain, W.E. B. Griffin, Lora Leigh, Christine Feehan, Sherilyn Kenyon, Mary Janice Davidson, Anne Rice, RA Salvatore, Tamora Pierce, Dennis L. McKiernan (And Many Many MORE) I really dislike people who bash others opinions without reason. Opinion's are like a**h*l*s everyone has one!

  • VAMPIRES - In the Anita Blake series Anita chooses Jean Claude over the werewolf Richard?

She was introduced to Richard's wolfie side by him changing on top of her during a battle as Richard killed and then proceeded to eat his former Alpha. She ran from him, the pack straight to the vampire who'd been trying to woo her. (yeah he's master of the city and all that good stuff but still)

Was this a good decision? Should she have waited and thought it through? She knows about werewolves and wereleopards having to deal with them in her line of work... So what about this decision comes across as WRONG?

  • Sookie Stackhouse Book question - When Eric forced Bill to tell Sookie why he came to Bon Temps...?

When Eric forced Bill to come clean with Sookie about why he came to Bon Temps and got to know her... How would you have reacted?

Would you, like Sookie have just walked out of the hospital walked for a while around New Orleans crying and angry till you got back to the apartment you were there to clean out???

Bill explains.... "When your cousin Hadley was becoming the queen's favorite ..."

And suddenly I saw it all, knew what he was going to say, and I rose up on the hospital bed with a gasp, one hand to my chest because I felt my heart shattering. But Bill's voice went on, even though I shook

    my head violently.

"Apparently, Hadley talked about you and your gift a lot, to impress the queen and keep her interest.

And the queen knew I was originally from Bon Temps. On some nights, I've wondered if she sent someone to kill the last Compton and hurry things along. But maybe he truly died of old age." Bill was looking down at the floor, didn't see my left hand extended to him in a "stop" motion.

"She ordered me to return to my human home, to put myself in your way, to seduce you if I had to ..."

I couldn't breathe. No matter how my right hand pressed to my chest, I couldn't stop the decimation of my heart, the slide of the knife deeper into my flesh.

"She wanted your gift harnessed for her own use," he said, and he opened his mouth to say more.

My eyes were so blurred with tears that I couldn't see properly, couldn't see what expression was on his face and didn't care anyway. But I could not cry while he was anywhere near me. I would not.

"Get out," I said, with a terrible effort. Whatever else happened, I could not bear for him to see the pain he had caused.

He tried to look me straight in the eyes, but mine were too full. Whatever he wanted to convey, it was lost on me. "Please let me finish," he said.

"I never want to see you again, ever in my life," I whispered. "Ever."

  • New Moon - How would you have handled the break up between Bella and Edward?

Would you have had her break from reality like Meyer did? (I found this to be totally unrealistic since they hadn't been together very long) Or would you have written something else? Describe it.

  • IF you had to pick ONE book from 2008 to put into.....?

If you had to pick one book... one single book -- not series-- not saga-- not trilogy (although I guess it could be part of a series) to put into a time capsule as representative of our literature and reading habits... What would it be???

  • Who or What determines that a book is a classic?

Well like I said.. who determines that any certain book is a classic?

I realize that when a lot of the books we call classics now came out they were often controversial and looked down upon. So what is it about books that were once thought poorly of that now makes them classics.??

  • Shadowmarch by Tad Williams any comments?

I read Shadowmarch... and thought the ending was rather abrupt.. I am getting ready to read Shadowplay..

I read Shadowmarch in one sitting and was intrigued by the world he'd created and the magic he used. The political intrigue kept things lively as well.

Anyone else read either of these two books?

  • Does anyone read anything besides Twilight or The Classics?

Just wondering because it seems near impossible to get a response to questions unless its about a school book or Twilight.

I've asked about Jennifer Fallon and Simon Green and NOT 1 response.

How about Christine Feehan? Sherrilyn Kenyon? Laurell K Hamilton? Lynsay Sands, Kerrelyn Sparks?

  • Who's Vampire world do you prefer?!?

Who's vampire world do you prefer:

Laurell K. Hamilton's where Vampires and Werecreatures are part of the everyday thing..

Charlaine Harris' where Vampires are out but were-creatures are still secret...

Patricia Briggs .. Werewolves just came out (not sure about Vampires) and Fae are out.. and yes I am going to say it..

Stephenie Meyer's where they are both secret (although the Elders of the Tribe know about the wolves and cold ones)

Or is there another one you'd rather suggest?

  • Which is your favorite Anita Blake Book? and why?

Sorry I've read one to many Twilight questions and just have to post about something else... Hopefully since this is vampire and somewhat love related it'll get some hits.

What is your favorite Anita Blake Vampire Hunter book, by Laurell K. Hamiton and why is it your favorite?

Mine is Burnt Offering. It's before she's gone sex crazed. Anita has actually decided which guy she wants to be with and they are moving ahead with their lives. The Tri is causing some problems and then there's the excitement of the visiting council members.

  • Anita Blake Vampire Hunter what do you like and hate?

What is your favorite Anita Blake Novel and what makes it stand out from the crowd?

Which do you like the least and why?

I think my favorite is Burnt Offering... because Anita is still doing her zombie work, as well as execution stuff and being leader of the pard as well as trying to deal fairly with Jean claude and Richard.

  • What is your opinion of Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden BOOKS?

I am interested in the books not the short lived TV Series from Sci-Fi... they didn't give it a good enough chance.
