Is a 6-10 finish enough to legitimately dump Norv Turner?

Please ID yourself if you are a chargers fan and tell me your thoughts on Turner ---is that enough to fire him with no debate?

It would have given them the incentive to do it but they currently have a better record. In fact, if they win this weekend, they will be headed for the playoffs.

I am not a Charger fan, but I can fairly say that Norv Turner should have never been hired to coach the Chargers in the first place. He should be fired if the Chargers don't make the playoffs. Why oh why the Chargers fired Marty Schottenheimer after going 14-2 a couple of years ago just because you lost the first round of the playoffs is beyond me. So you hired Norv Turner. What has he done since taking over the Chargers? Very little.

Norv Turner is an excellent coordinator, but his history has shown that he is not a very good head coach. The Chargers has underachieved since he arrived. The fact that the Chargers have blown five games in the last minute is a collar he has to wear.

Marty Schottenheimer might not have won big games as a head coach, but at least he got his teams to the big games.

Maybe not - but is it enough to fire the SOB GM who fired Marty Schottenheimer? And replace him WITH Schottenheimer?

And isn't that the same GM who let Drew Brees go so they could start Phillip Rivers? Wonder what a comparison of their stats would show for the past 2 years.

Update - No 6-10 finish for these Chargers. They rolled up Tampa Bay like a used newspaper.

You better freaking get on your knees and pray Schottenheimer takes you back and calls the football gods off of the Chargers. You don't fire 14-2 come on. Actually I'm a Cowboys fan, but I have a lot of respect for the Chargers.

no if they finish 6-10, you have to think about the play of the team and the reason behind it. no shawn merriman, one of top pass rushers in the game after demarcus ware, and an unhealthy LT. this team has been totally depended on the great play of Phillip Rivers. also this team was one game away from going to the super bowl, if they had beaten the Patriots, so why would you fire Turner just because the team is having one bad year?

6-10 aka no more wins then hell yeah he should be fired. But I think we can beat the Broncos. Anyway I hope we don't make it cause then they have no reason to keep Norv he is absolute ****. Charger fan here btw.

Good ol Norv took a winner and turned them into a complete loser team. Norv will be out the door after this season. You have the greatest back since Emmit Smith and completely turn him into a non factor.

it is not norv turners fault so i don't want hear that crap when you lose one of the best defensive players in the game like shawn merriam and when LT ain't playing like he has in the pass seasons your not go to be as good he is the part that makes the chargers so sucessful

Charger fan here, and Marty shouldn;t of been fired in the first place, the GM is a joke and he should be let off

I would think that his current and past head coaching records would be enough to have him legitimately dumped from the nfl unless it is as an O coordinator.
