It's good to limit carbs in your diet and you should be getting your calories from fat, rather than a lot of carbs anyway. That is the way our bodies are designed. In order to overcome the cravings it's not hard. What you have to do is go on a "Blood Sugar Handling Diet." It takes about 2 weeks of following this and your cravings go away automatically and you will feel a lot more energy. Once you have reached that level, you can change your diet to match your metabolic typing and your energy level will remain high and you will feel much better.

Grains of any kind, including whole grains, are not that good for you unless they are soaked overnight before processing and they should not be heated to more than 130 degrees to preserve their integrity. There are massive numbers of so called "experts" telling you that grains are so good for you, like pasta, etc., but the truth is, unless your metabolic typing is geared for that, and few are, you will not feel good eating that stuff.

These LOW fat diets are the latest, greatest, fad and everyone seems to be buying into this endoctrination as if it were scientifc fact. The so called "food experts" that are promoting this lunacy are just "hired guns" of the food industry that is using a very strategic marketing strategy that seems to be working quite well to sell their high profit, low food value garbage. Do you actually believe primitive man that had NO cavities, great jaw formations, huge resistance to disease, ate pizza or pasta of any kind, or any vegetable oils of any kind? NOT. They actually died with all their teeth in their mouths and NEVER got cavities and didn't even use fluoride toothpastes. This endoctrination has gotten totally out of hand. Think your reasoning is not directed by endoctrination? Fill in the blanks: "Plop, Plop, Fizz, Fizz, Oh what a relief it is? _______________ So guess what that is? Or this one, "________" fat causes heart disease. Or this one, "______-acid" causes acid indigestion.

AlkaSeltzer, Saturated, and Stomach are the answers. If you got any of them right, you have been endoctrinated, not educated by hearing that stuff. I'm sure you can think of hundreds, if not thousands of those sayings that affect your reasoning and decision making process everyday. The carb is not immune from this problem. Think of the things you are craving and then think of the saying that goes along with it. Yep, you are endoctrinated. Not good science, but good marketing.

When you seek the truth about all this and find it, you will be free from the lies you have been told. The problem is that even the so called experts believe much of the garbage. Just ask your doctor a few questions and you will realize that he is not immune to this problem. Ask him to tell you what specific ingredients are in any particular vaccine he will adminster to you. Don't you think he should know this? After all, with all the doctor induced illnesses going around now and over 106,000 people dying last year in hospitals from legally prescribed by doctors, FDA approved drugs for the specific illness the person had, don't you think they should be paying better attention to detail, instead of taking the drug company's word for it? After all, isn't that what you are paying him for? His advice?

If you want the Blood Sugar Handling diet, I will be glad to send it to you and help you with that issue of cravings. Only you can fix the endoctrination problem by becoming educated instead. That takes work and you will not get it from doctors, drug companies, the media, etc.

    good luck to you

Go on the South Beach diet, it works and it takes about 2 weeks or more to break old habits.

To overcome cravings for carbs you can't eat any at all.

Cravings are a clue to your body's nutrition deficiencies. First I would suggest taking a daily multivitamin (liquid or gel.)

Also, here's some little tips to remember.

When you crave salt, you need more minerals.

When you crave fatty foods, you need more healthy fats.

When you crave carbs you need more protein.

I know, sounds funny, doesn't it?

Try it though. When you have a carb craving, reach for a protein. Low fat string cheese, plain low-fat yogurt (no sugar), skim milk, a can of sardines, an egg... whatever. After 2-3 weeks you'll notice your carb cravings are pretty much gone.

And lastly, remember that sugar is addictive. The more you eat, the more your body wants. "Sugar" includes things like bread, pasta, rice and potatoes. Your body turn them into sugar. Stick to fruits, veggies, lean meat, nuts and low-fat dairy.

    Hm,

We all love carbs, the're acctrually really good for you, such as complex carbs, we all need to include those in our diets.

But if you're truley concerned, limit you'reself to pasta twice a weak, and choose diffrent varaity of foods, such as many hummas, or beans with cheese.

Try low-carb foods, that maybe have more calaries in them including a better taste.

Once you find low-carb food's you like, you'll be hooked and will less-forgive those high carb intakes.

Remeber, carbs are good, ! :)

    Best of luck !
