keyboard problems? anyone else have the same problem with there laptop or desktop. this is with my laptop?

anyone else have this problem. when i type online like i am doing for this. now and then when i hit a key it wont register that key. so i have to backspace to redo the key. however when i use my notepad, wordpad, microsoft word 07 it works fine and doesnt miss a key. ex is if i am typing and then i type time i will push the buttons but get tie. even though i hit the m key. dont know if i am typing to fast and the internet speed is slow so i get ahead or what. anyways anyone else seem to have this happen and know what i am talking about? thanks

Update:

i have 4 gigs of ram. more then enough. plus additional 512 for my video card being it has 512 dedicated with it. then 2 gigs alloted for my video card if needed plus 2 gigs shared. i know the ram is there. i have a 9800 gt 512 geforce video card, 2.26 ghz duo and 320 hd at 7200 rpm. i was sure it was my internet i am going thru a router shared with my wifes desktop. when playing games i get a bad ping. think i get a better ping just being wireless just cant download stuff as fast. i will still try those things too though thanks for the info. might make games play that much better. they play great now but instead of like cod4 playing at 85 plus fps i might get it at 100 plus.

try changing the repeat speed and delay.

start > control panel > keyboard

Yes, that happens when there is a lag in your internet speed. Try and remove any unwanted programs by using Msconfig from the Run prompt and using the Startup tab.

Another option of course is to increase your RAM.

Remember that when you are typing in Notepad, you are only sending the keystrokes to your local computer whereas when you are on the internet you do not have exactly the same situation.

check this with another operating system. Do it quickly with a livecd.
