Actually He said quite the opposite which is why many people wanted Him killed for blasphemy.

The Jews therefore said to Him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?" Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am." Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself, and went out of the temple. (John 8:57-59)

"I and the Father are one." The Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, "I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?" The Jews answered Him, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God." (John 10:30-33)

And Jesus cried out and said, "He who believes in Me does not believe in Me, but in Him who sent Me. And he who beholds Me beholds the One who sent Me. I have come as light into the world, that everyone who believes in Me may not remain in darkness." (John 12:44-46)

And so when He had washed their feet, and taken His garments, and reclined at the table again, He said to them, "Do you know what I have done to you? You call Me Teacher and Lord; and you are right, for I am. If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet." (John 13:12-14)

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him." Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us." Jesus said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how do you say, 'Show us the Father'?" (John 14:6-9)

No actually the Bible says that Prophet Isa is God.But it is a well known fact that the Bible can no longer be considered the word of God, because over the years, it has been tampered with.It is impossible for Jesus to be God, because no being can be both Divine and human.

There is no verse in the Injil (Holy Bible) where the prophet Isa (Jesus) states that He is not God. If there had been, the doctrine of the Trinity would never have been formulated. On the contrary, the apostle John declared that Isa was with God in the beginning (before any creation occured) and that He was God and that He created all things. Sadly, many Muslims refuse to believe such statements. Isa is not a different God to the Creator - He is the Creator, as is the Holy Spirit. He emptied Himself of His heavenly glory to become the baby of Bayt Lahm (Bethlehem) then after His resurrection (for death could not hold Him!) He returned to glory with the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, to the glory of God (Philippians 2:9-10). That statement is a quotation from the prophet Shi'ya (Isaiah) chap 45:23 where God is the one to whom every knee will bend!

So you have the prophetic words of the Apostles John and Paul, plus Isaiah confirming the glory of Jesus Christ. Then there are the words of Isa Himself: "Before Ibrahim [Abraham] was born, I Am" (Jn 8:58) "For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day... No-one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the Prophets 'They will all be taught by God.' Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from him comes to me. No-one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father. I tell you the truth, he who believes on me has everlasting life." (Jn 6:40-48).

If Isa was not God incarnate, He would have blasphemed by claiming to resurrect the dead and to give life to those believing in Him, for to come to God is to come to Him. Will you not believe Him?

No, he said that he was God.

"I and the Father are one." (John 10:30)

To a Jew, God is one. The most holy words of the Jews were these: "Hear O Israel, the Lord your God, the LORD is one. You shall love the LORD with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength." It is called the "Shema" (Hebrew for "hear").

When the Jewish leaders asked him "are you the Son of the Blessed One?" Jesus replied "I AM, and you shall see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of power and coming in the clouds of Heaven." (Mark 14:61-62)

By saying "I AM" Jesus was in fact saying that he is God. The Jewish name for God (that he told to Moses at the burning bush) was YHWH, usually pronounced "Yahwey" today. It means "I am" or "I am that I am." Back then it was considered so Holy that they would not pronounce it. They said "Lord" or "God" instead. Most older Bibles followed this tradition, putting the word LORD wherever YHWH was found in the Hebrew scriptures.

This is why the High Priest tore his robes at this claim of Jesus--it was blasphemy! No man can say that he is God! (Unless he is.)

    Yours in Christ, Nick

That is a common misunderstanding. The Scribes and Pharisees testify that Isa (or Jesus, or Yashua) was claiming to be God. Every time it is written that they "picked up stones" it is because He claimed to be God in their presence!

Jesus said,"I am the Son of God." John 10:36.

God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Crucifixion is a lie according to several of the Disciples' early writings

    http://www.answering-christianity.com/ac24.htm#lin...

    EDIT here is proof

"Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high. (From the King James Version Bible, Isaiah 52:13)"

"Lo, My servant doth act wisely, He is high, and hath been lifted up, And hath been very high. (From Young's Literal Translation Bible, Isaiah 52:13)"

"Behold, my servant shall act wisely; he shall be high and lifted up, and shall be exalted. (From the English Standard Version Bible, Isaiah 52:13)"

"Behold, my servant shall deal prudently; he shall be exalted and be lifted up, and be very high. (From Darby Translation Bible, Isaiah 52:13)"

The text in all of the translations above clearly suggests that Jesus will be honored and lifted up from crucifixion. He will not be humiliated and crucified.

EARLY christians never believed in trinity

Ebonites, the Corinthians, the Basilidians, the Capocratians, and the Hypisistarians never know about trinity doctrine at all. The Arians, Paulicians and Goths also accepted Jesus (peace be upon him) as a prophet of God and against the trinity.

Even in the modern age there are churches in Asia, in Africa, the Unitarian church, the Jehovah's witnesses, and even the majority of today's Anglican Bishops do not worship Jesus (peace be upon him) as one in three, as what been report by the "Daily News" 25/6/84 under the heading "Shock survey of Anglican Bishops."

Moreover, the 'Socinianism', the 17th-century Christian also rejects such traditional doctrines as the Trinity and original sin, the founder is Socinus, and his Latinized name of Lelio Francesco Maria Sozzini (1525-1562), the Italian Protestant theologian.

Johannes Greber (1874) a former of Catholic priest in his book 'The Communication with the Spirit World of God' in page 371 was written, "As you see, the doctrine of a triune Godhead is not only contrary to common sense, but is entirely unsupported by the Scriptures". So another priest who was deny the trinity.

A theologians, Edouard Schillebeeckx of the Netherlands in 1979 was writings some article that rejects the doctrine of the Trinity. This caused concern to the Vatican.

    Jesus is God!

    John 10:30

I and the Father are one.

Source(s): 1 Corinthians 8:6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. 1 John 2:23 No-one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also. John 1:18 No-one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known. John 6:57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.
